Maryland Sheep and Wool wrap-up

I know that I won't be able to squeeze in all of the pictures that I want, but nobody can say that I won't try!

Last weekend, I drove out to Maryland to spend some time with my aunt, uncle and cousins, and oh yea -- to see some sheep!

To save everyone's page loading times, pictures are under the cut:

Unexpected highlights were briefly meeting Fleegle and Anne Hanson. Lovely and gracious, both of them :)

And then there were sheep:

And alpacas:

How can you not love that face?

And recently-sheared llamas, standing disconcertingly close to their fleeces. I wonder whether they know?

I stopped by the Skein and Garment building, where someone had knit a prize-winning Lyra and a beautiful grey (and completed!) Snowflakes in Cedarwoods. It looks lovely, and is incentive to finish mine for sure!

I made out like a bandit, as far as I'm concerned. (This is, for the sake of honesty, just Saturday's haul. There were only two more bags on Sunday, and they were eensy. Scout's honor!)

I think that some of my favorite things are my new spindles - a Trindle and a gorgeous lightweight Golding - and this:

Just because I like the picture :)

Sorry, i'm 8 hours over on this one, but Happy Birthday Laura. That is, I have this idea in my mind that today is your birthday (I don't quite realize why, but birthdays are about the only thing that I remember). If i'm way off, then just save this for later :)
